that Hotel Felix in Leipzig, part of the “Living House”, needed a modern, flexible and scalable access solution for its 350 beds and the various functional areas of the hotel. Around 200 people, including hotel guests, employees and external service providers, need daily access to various areas of the building.
The challenge was to manage access authorizations in real time while ensuring that the system was seamlessly integrated with the hotel's existing property management system (PMS). In addition to a high level of security and ease of use, a direct connection to the PMS was also an essential requirement to increase the efficiency of hotel operations.
With BlueID's fully cloud-based access control solution, Hotel Felix was connected directly to its property management system (PMS). The BlueID API enabled seamless integration so that all access rights for guests and employees can be managed directly from the PMS. This integration enabled real-time management of access rights without manual intervention or additional systems.
By using the BlueID ACCESS® Cloud and the associated SDKs, the hotel was not only able to manage access rights efficiently, but was also able to dispense with its own IT infrastructure. All access authorizations, locking plans and token downloads have been managed centrally and over 400,000 operations have been successfully carried out since the introduction.
BlueID played a central role in the successful implementation of the access solution in Hotel Felix. Together with the team from Denkmalneu A flexible and lean access management system was developed that was tailored exactly to the requirements of the project.
